Starting Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, fall flight schedule changes will take effect at the Canadian Rockies International Airport, which will create significant increases in passenger flows, with peak passenger volumes happening on Monday afternoons.
Monday travellers will find higher than normal passenger traffic, due to three outbound flights between Air Canada and WestJet scheduled between 3 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.
To ensure a smooth check-in process, and to avoid unnecessary congestion, all passengers are strongly encouraged to leave themselves plenty of time between arrival and screening (90 minutes minimum), and to be particularly attentive to the communications and instructions provided to you by your air carrier.
“It is important we share this information with the public well in advance of this schedule change. We really want travellers to be prepared when they arrive at the airport and ensure their experience with us is as pleasant and smooth as possible,” said Tristen Chernove, Airport Manager, Canadian Rockies International Airport.
