The spectacular Douglas Channel as it extends to Kitimat is one of the longest and busiest inlets on British Columbia’s northern coast.
Its waters are fertile, housing all salmon species and halibut are said to reach 100 pounds or more.
Kayaking is popular on the inlet, as are back-country hikes. Whales are sometimes in the channel as well.
