Are you crushing on BC wines?
October is Wine Harvest Month in BC, meaning there’s no better time to indulge your passion!
Running through Oct. 31, the month celebrates all things harvest, bringing together industry partners in support of British Columbia wine, hospitality and tourism.
Raising awareness of BC Wine Harvest, that campaign inspires consumers to Go Where the Road Wines to explore BC wine country using the new Wines of BC Explorer website and downloadable app for mobile devices to plan their purchases, experiences and local getaways.
The app is designed to be easy to use and features every wine and winery in BC. Take the taste test to discover your flavour profile, uncover personalized recommendations on wines and wineries, discover exciting local BC wines and experiences at locations near you.
Find an array of experiences on the app, including specially curated wine routes, along with a listing of participating BC restaurants, retail stores, hotels and the various promotions, providing an easy and user-friendly way to explore and discover. You can even enter the Harvest Sips & Trips contest, offering nine grand prizes with one spectacular prize awarded in each wine region.
“This campaign really aims to bring our local wine, hospitality and tourism partners together to ensure a strong future for all of us,” says Kim Barnes, Marketing Director, BC Wine Institute. “We know many BC industries are feeling the effects of 2020 and we want to keep the ‘support local’ message top of mind as we head into the winter season.”
“Restaurants are an important place for people to experience how awesome BC wine is ̶ especially when paired with BC seafood and beautiful locally-produced cheese plates,” says Ian Tostenson, President and CEO, BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association. “We’re excited to encourage people to experience all the harvest tastes BC has to offer.”
