It’s no secret that Kimberley is a pretty good place for mountain bikers and, more recently, E-bikers, but our local trails and the people who build and upkeep them are becoming more and more well known on a wider scale.
Kimberley just made an appearance in the pages of the prestigious Bike Magazine, in an article from writer and photographer Aaron Theisen.
“It’s so awesome to get a great writer who is also a super-talented mountain biker visit your community and really dig in to highlight the incredible work that KTS, volunteers, trail builders and all involved have been doing,” says Matt Mosteller, a.k.a. PowderMatt, board chair for the Kootenay Outdoor Recreation Enterprise.
“It is powerful coverage as it is North America’s largest mountain bike magazine as well.”
In addition to interviewing Mosteller, Theisen also features Kimberley Trails Society general manager Ryan McKenzie, who discusses, among other things, the recently completed Electrify the Mountains project.
It’s a testament to the work that people like Mosteller and McKenzie, and organizations like the Trails Society and KORE, have been doing in Kimberley that this feature was written.
