Victoria’s Phillips Brewing and Malting Co. has been chosen to open a new craft beer bar in the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, home to WHL Hockey and a variety of special events and performances.
“We are excited to partner with SOFMC and further foster building community and local connections here in Victoria,” Phillips marketing director Robyn Skinner said in a news release.
“In being home to the Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League and regularly hosting large-scale concerts and other special events, we see Phillips Beer selling well at these events and being a natural brand fit. We believe in the power of community collaboration and are honoured to have been selected to open a new craft beer bar directly in their facility.”

To celebrate the grand opening on Oct. 18, Phillips will also be the game day sponsor as the Victoria Royals take on Prince Albert Raiders. The theme for game day will be Phillips Fest to celebrate the end of Oktoberfest and will include beer, food, music, entertainment, giveaways and more.
“We’re thrilled to introduce the Phillips Craft Beer Bar to our fans and bring an exciting new destination to enjoy local craft beer at SOFMC,” said Matt Cooke, event general manager at SOFMC.
“Phillips Brewing has long been a staple of Victoria’s craft beer scene, and this partnership allows us to offer a unique, local experience for our guests. Whether it’s cheering on the Royals or enjoying a live concert, we’re proud to elevate the fan experience by offering brews that reflect the vibrant spirit of Victoria.”
