The Fort Ostell Museum was established in Ponoka’s Centennial Park in 1967 and has hosted thousands of visitors from near and far to a delightful journey through the unique and amazing milestones, memories, tributes, treasures, ongoing growth and progress during the long and colourful history of Ponoka town and county.
The museum has more than 10,000 artifacts, ranging from settler displays to First Nations displays, and even a display about Ponoka’s history of having a mental health institution.
