Abbotsford is blessed with an abundance of exceptional restaurants and food purveyors, but what makes the community even more special is the ingredients grown, raised and produced right here.
No wonder the community deserves its own food festival!
Returning Sept. 15 to 24 is the second annual Taste of Abby Food Festival – a city-wide celebration of food, culture and unique culinary experiences at the peak of harvest season.
“Beyond the opportunity to savour some delicious dishes, the festival introduces residents and visitors to new, local experiences, connecting them with the growers and producers responsible for these amazing flavours and ingredients,” says Craig Nichols, Executive Director of the festival host, Tourism Abbotsford.
Kicking off Taste of Abby on Friday, Sept. 15 is a Night Market at Jubilee Park from 5 to 10 p.m.
Showcasing freshly prepared food, local libations and a vendor market, presented alongside live local music and entertainment, the market is the perfect venue to taste the bounty of Abbotsford, all in one place.
Want to share the tasty treats you’re cooking up? Contact Tourism Abbotsford to participate with special menu offerings, local picnic packs, unique experiences and more!
Of course, the Night Market is just the start of the fun. Other events include Pickleball & Pints, grape stomping at Singletree, a Guided Circle Farm Tour and the second annual Food & Farm Awards.
